What you'll master
Structured modules emphasize form language, asymmetry, depth, and material integrity. Each module combines demonstrations, hands-on practice, and critique.
Study of seasonal material, line emphasis, and creating visual rhythm using minimal elements. Practice progressive compositions with instructor feedback.
Stability, tension, and elevation: refine spike placement, hidden supports, and mixed-media foundations that complement ikebana aesthetics.
Designing for spaces: scaling compositions for exhibitions, corporate settings, and gallery presentations with an eye to narrative and viewer movement.
Prerequisites
- Completion of intermediate ikebana or equivalent portfolio (3 compositions)
- Comfort handling floral tools and kenzan
